Factory Engraved Remington 1858 New Model Army .44 (AH4783)

Factory Engraved Remington 1858 New Model Army .44 caliber revolver. This gun was silver plated with a gold cylinder. Most of the silver has drifted and silver only remains in protected areas. Cylinder still has thinning gold plate. The plated finishes are so delicate and tend to flake at the slightest use. Engraving is nice and sharp. Grips are antique ivory. Very fine gun that was special to someone whether it be a presentation, or gift or just someone’s special gun. Very rare to see factory engraved Remington’s and this is a very nice example.
