Champhau DRI .16 Gauge (S8828)

Champhau DRI .16 Gauge shotgun. H. Champhausen drilling .16 gauge that shoots 2 9/16” shells NOT 2 ¾”. Rifle caliber is 6.5X58R Sauer. Barrels are 26 3/4”. Gun is extensively game scene engraved. Door to bullet trap in buttstock depicts a hunter with rifle in a woodland setting. Frame shows wild-fowl on right side and a stag with 2 doe on left side. All scenes are accentuated with a floral and leaf motif. Rifle barrel is activated by push lever on top tang. Rear side pops up upon activation. Gun has adjustable set trigger. Trigger plate is engraved with both German and Austrian patents. Grip lower tang is made of horn. Shotgun bores are excellent and chokes are modified and cylinder. Rifle bore is very good with strong rifling. Barrels have approximately 95% of an old rust blue and look very good. Breech end has some gold bands and filigree gold inlays. Fore end used to be checkered and has been made smooth. Pistol grip has very good checkering. Gun has cocking indicators. Over all the gun is very good plus condition. This gun has many features.
