German Reich Revolver by V.C.S C.V (Charles Schilling) in Suhl. Gun has a scarce marking of BE branded deeply in the left grip. BE is Bayer-ische. Einwohnerwher” (Bavarian civil guard) Gun has other military issue markings on the buttcap. We believe the civil guard was formed in the 1920’s to offer the citizens some protection from the disorder occurring at that time. Excellent bore and action and grips. This is a sharp revolver with no pitting or abuse. Edges are sharp and gun shows some use but not much. This is the only example of a BE marked Reich revolver we have seen.
