Swiss Model 1842 Percussion Pistol (AH6282)

This is a very nice Swiss Model 1842 single shot percussion pistol. The overall length is approx. 14.5". The approx. 8.25" round 70 caliber barrel has a good smooth bore with some erosion. All the metal is bright with scattered stains. The barrel, lock, trigger guard, nose cap, side plate, and butt cap have crown over BF proof marks. There are no other marks. The stock is very good with small chips at the front of the trigger guard, issue dents and dings, and no other chips or cracks. The action functions correctly with the exception that the trigger will release the hammer at half cock. The brass nose cap, side plate, trigger guard, and butt cap are very good. The butt cap is equipped with a swivel. This is a very nice over Swiss Model 1842 percussion pistol.
