Colt New Service .44-40 (C17565)

SN: 22079. Colt double action revolver with 7.5" barrel. Manufactured in 1909. The bore is excellent, strong rifling and bright in the grooves. The action works perfectly and the cylinder locks up on time. The barrel address is clear and legible and so is the model and caliber markings. This weapon has an early period refinish. The revolver has pearl Colt Medallion grips and have a steer head carved in high relief. The left side grip at the heel was chipped but has been repaired by a Master Gunsmith. A very fine Colt New Service.
