Mauser Single Shot Bolt Action 22 Caliber Sporting Rifle (R31380)

This excellent pre-WWII Mauser Model ES340 deluxe .22 LR caliber sporting rifle is a great example of German craftsmanship. The overall length is approx. 43.25". The 25.5" round barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 98% blue. The left side of the barrel is marked PATRONE 22 LONG RIFLE followed by the sereial number followed by 459 (the caliber in mm) followed by crown over B,, U, and G proof marks. The ldft side of the receiver repeats the proof marks with the serial number following and MAUSERWERKE A (remainder covered by peep sight base - all but the base absent). The top of the receiver over the chamber has the MAUSER banner logo. The stock is excellent with only light handling marks. It is extensively checkered at the wrist and forearm and has a capped pistol grip. The hard rubber buttplate, with the MAUSER logo in the center, is excellent. The sling swivels are present. The rifle is equipped with a 4X tp 12X Weaver V12-B scope (the magnification adjustment is very stiff). The action functions correctly.
