U.S. Model 1840 cavalry saber by Hortsmann (SW1499)
U.S. Model 1840 cavalry saber by William Hortsmann out of Philadelphia. Scabbard is a dull nickel finish with oxidation, flacking and dents present. Saber is a tight fit, blade is 35" in length with a light grey patina finish. Leather is fair, wire wrap is long gone.
