German 8.15X46Rmm Schutzen Rifle by August Jung (R32656)

This is a very nice example of the German Schutzen rifle by a well known maker in the most popular caliber. The overall length is approx. 47.75". The 31.75" octagon 8.15X46Rmm caliber barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The top of the barrel is matted and the rear 9.25" is wider. The top rib is marked AUG. JUNG . VIERNAU B. SUHL and the top of the receiver is stamped ORIGINAL AYDT. The matted ramp front sight has wide ears with a small adjustable blade centered below them. The rear sight is an elaborate adjustable tang peep sight. The barrel has approx. 96% of its original blue finish. The massive color casehardened receiver has approx. 90% colors. The receiver has two lightly engraved areas on the left and one on the right. The lever and other small parts have a smooth brown patina. The buttstock is fine with no cracks or chips. checkered wrist, very large cheekpiece, opposite side thumbrest, and Swiss buttplate. The plain forearm is fine. The rifle is equipped with European size swivels. The double set trigger action functions correctly.
