Merrimack Arms & Manufacturing Co. Ballard Rifle .38 Rimfire (AL5498)

Single shot cartridge rifle. Barrel is 28". Bore has strong rifling with some minor pitting. Action works perfectly. Extractor tab on forearm needs to be replaced. Barrel has three leaf express sights. Forearm has a crack that needs repair. Receiver is marked "Merrimack Arms & MFG Co. Newburry Port Mass. Ballard's Patent Nov 5, 1861". Good overall condition. Reasonably priced.
