Colt Special Contract 1861 Musket .58 caliber (AL7542)
NSN, .58 caliber, 40" round barrel manufactured 1863. Metal is in its original armory bright finish with sharp marking noted. Pin-prick surface oxidation is noted along the barrel and is minor. Wood is excellent and two handsome cartouches visible. Hard to improve on this example.
