NSN, circa 1750's-1770s, .74 caliber, 46.75" octagonal to round unmarked barrel. Barrel and iron parts are a dark grey/ brown patina with surface oxidation visible. Barrel appears to be of early French with rear sight added. A small corrosion hole is noted by rear sight. Lock is of a 1777 pattern with "CROWN/GR" Broad Arrow forward of cock. "TOWER" is marked vertically rear of cock. Trigger Guard and ram-rod appear to be that of a 1766 "Charleville" Stock looks to have been lightly sanded at some point with expected nicks, dings and scratches visible. Wrist has a period correct brass plate repair. Jaw screw is missing its top round surface piece. Action functions correctly.
