Serial No. 390353, made in 1918, .45acp, 6" barrel. 60% original blue finish remains. Back strap is marked with "2nd Lt. E.F.R. Sample, R.E.". Sample would serve with a few units before the war. He would rejoin the Yorkshire Hussars on September 3rd 1914 and would be deemed "Medically unfit for further Military Service 62 days later. He would become a clerk for the home guard. He would then be commissioned to a 2nd Lt. and would land on Flanders on August 19th, 1918. After the war he would become a temporary surveyor of the Imperial War Graves Commission. Bore shows frosting in the grooves, rifling remains strong. Broad Arrows are present throughout. Cylinder has been shaved to accept .45acp with moon clips. CONSIGNEMNT
