Rare British Leetch's Patent Breechloading rifle .577 (AL9705)

NSN, circa 1860's, .577, 30" round barrel. Roughly 250 of rifles and carbines were manufactured with the unique swinging chamber. Hammer has to be on half and lever pulled up for the breech to open. Three groove bore is good with expected scattered oxidation noted. A coating of lacquer covers the barrel and other metal parts. Top of the breech has faint patent markings, lock plate is marked "Leetch's Patent Company". Rifles stock is very good with minor nicks and dings noted. Action functions correctly.
