Rare pre-production prototype of an unissued Signature Series (3rd Gen) 1851 Navy "Civil War Heroes" line of commemoratives that was never issued. This is for General Robert E. Lee, is silver plated and has special silver etchings and a special medallion in the grips. As new with box, shipping carton, accessory kit and wooden presentation case. A complete set of a rare unissued prototype. Comes with a letter from Anthony Imperato, the president of Colt Blackpowder Arms, explaining what the gun is. They were the company that produced the Signature Series Colts. Consignment.
