Ludwig and Loewe Model 1896 Mauser O.V.S. Marked 7mm (AL9804) Consignment

Serial Number 1544, circa 1896, 7mm Mauser, 30" round barrel. Left side of the receiver is marked "O.V.S"/1544". Stock is marked the same, serial numbers are matching. Bore is good with pitting and frosting visible in the grooves. Strong rifling remains. Stock has expected nicks, dings and mars. The O.V.S. rifles were used the Boer Commandos for the Orange Free States. Action functions correctly. Great example of a Boer War Rifle
