U.S. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword by Ames (SW1841)

Civil War era Sword by Ames dated 1863, blade in 34.5" in length. Metal finish is a dark grey patina with chips visible at the blade's edge. Ricasso is marked "US/ADK/1863" Opposite side is stamped "AMES MFg Co./Chicopee/MASS". Brass hand guard has a dark "bronzed" patina. Leather and wire wrap are intact and in overall good condition. Scabbard has been lightly cleaned and has a dull finish.
