Sharps New Model 1863 Cartridge Converted Carbine .50-70 caliber (AL9925) CONSIGNMENT

NSN, circa 1863, .50-70 caliber, 22" 3 grooved lined barrel. Barrel is a dark brown patina with scattered surface oxidation visible. Front sight is missing, barrel is marked " New Model 1863". Breech and receiver show areas of deep gouges and scratches, bore has oxidation visible throughout with faint rifling visible. Faint factory marking are still present on the receiver, upper tang was broken off at some point. Stock shows heavy handling and usage wear, wood loss and crack noted right side of the forearm.
