Rare 4th Cavalry Marked Colt Single Action Army (AC1075) CONSIGNMENT

Serial number 2160. Made in 1874. 45LC caliber with a 7 ½”barrel. This gun is in rough condition as it was in a fire. Fire scale remains over at least half of the gun. The main spring is not present and the ejector screw is missing. This is  a Cavalry model and a faint “U.S.” can be seen on the left hand side of the frame. The right hand side of the frame reads “Co K 4 CAV” The 4^th Cavalry was stationed in Texas and had numerous battles with the Comanches, Kiowa and Cheyenne. The 4^th Cavalry was also sent to Arizona to battle the Apaches. Very neat Colt Single Action Army!
