Ainsworth Inspected Colt Single Action Army Cavalry Model (AC1048) CONSIGNMENT

Serial number 12504. Made in 1874. 45LC caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a Ainsworth inspected Colt Cavalry Model Single Action that was in the batch issued to the state of West Virginia and subsequently sold to the civilian market to raise funds. The majority of these guns found themselves on the western frontier. This gun has had some restoration which includes replace small parts like screws and cylinder pin. Some markings have been refreshed and possibly renumbered.
