British Pattern 1862 Enfield New Jersey Marked .577 (AL9968) CONSIGNMENT

NSN, made in 1862, .577 caliber, 39" round New Jersey marked rifled barrel. Barrel is a light polished grey patina with scattered areas of smooth oxidation. Bore has oxidation noted with faint rifling visible. Stock is in very good condition with a handsome cartouche noted. Lock plate is marked "1862/Tower" forward of the hammer, rear is marked with "Crown". Action holds at half and full cock, musket comes with original nipple protector. Consignment
