U.S. Harpers Ferry Model 1842 Long range rifle .69 caliber (AL9991) CONSIGNMENT

NSN, made in 1854, .69 caliber, 42" round rifled proofed barrel. Barrel is a brown/grey patina with freckled surface oxidation visible. Lock plate is marked with "Eagle/US" rear is marked "Harpers/Ferry/1854" Stock has light handling wear with faint cartouche visible. This rifle was altered with a rifled barrel and long range rear sight added circa 1856-1859. Action holds at half and full. Consignment
