French Model 1822 percussion pistol .72 caliber (AH8681) CONSIGNMENT

Serial No. 1020 (484 after re-arsenal) circa 1820's, .72 caliber, 7.75" round barrel. Barrel is semi bright with majority turning to a grey patina with surface oxidation noted. Barrel left side flat is marked with serial numbers, tang is marked "MLE 1822" Lock plate is marked Mre. Rle de Tulle. Rear of side  plate has faint cartouches with matching serial number. Small repaired crack at the grip is noted. Ram-rod is missing, Action is strong and holds at half and full cock. Consignment
