Unique stealth pistol made by Louis Marquis in 1943. Four 1.75" .22 LR barrels deploy with a spring-loaded switch. This opens the cover to reveal the four individual triggers, and aligns the barrels with the firing pins making the gun ready to fire. Ostensibly, Marquis devised the concept for a deployable belt buckle gun while in a POW camp in 1915. He marketed them to the German military in the 1940s, and would eventually receive an order for five from the SS. The eagle on the front of the cover is most likely a post-war casting, as this was not one of the SS-ordered guns. Other than the "1943" stamping on the barrels and frame, the only mark on this example is "1s" on the right buckle loop. Action appears to function correctly. It is unclear if this piece was ever blued, but if so there is none remaining. The metal is a mixed grey and brown patina. The cover has a large rub mark on the underside from the barrels striking it during opening.
