Springfield Model 1888 Trapdoor rifle .45-70 (AL10071) Consignment

SN: 522848. Made in 1891 with a 32.5-inch barrel chambered for the .45-70 cartridge. This rifle is equipped with the Buffington adjustable rear sight assembly, serrated trigger & 35.5-inch cleaning rod bayonet. Overall condition is fair with a dark bore & rust on the receiver, barrel & ancillary hardware components. The stock is solidly intact but covered in dings, dents & scratches. There is a rack number on the right side of the stock & an inspector's cartouche on the left side above the trigger. Consignment
