U.S. Springfield Model 1863 Type I Civil War rifled musket .58 caliber (AL10031)

NSN, made in 1863, .58 caliber, 40" round barrel. Barrel and receiver are a light grey patina with pin-prick oxidation visible in scattered areas. Rear sight has been removed, lock plate is marked with "Eagle-U.S./Springfield" "1863" is visible rear of the hammer. Eagle Motif is faint on nipple bolster. Stock has been cleaned at some point with a faint cartouche visible, expected nicks, dings and scratches. Action functions correctly, holding at half and full cock.
