Palmer Bolt Action carbine .50RF (AL10016)

NSN, circa 1865, .50RF, 20" round barrel. Barrel and lock plate are a brown patina with speckled surface oxidation visible. Bore has pitting and frosting visible in the lands and grooves, rifling remains strong. Top of the receiver is marked "W PALMER/PATENT/DEC.22.1863", lock plate is marked "U.S./E.G. LAMSON & CO./WINDSOR. VT" with 1865 stamped rear of hammer. Stock shows light handling and usage marks with sharp cartouche noted. Action is smooth and functions correctly. One of 1001 manufactured!
