WWII German BYF 42 code K98 8MM (R42366)

Serial No. 9135Y, made in 1942, 8mm, 24" round barrel. Bore is excellent with handsome rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching except for the bolt. Receiver is marked " Eagle/135/byf/42" with the left side marked with waffenamt-serial number- Mod 98". Stock has been heavily varnished at some point and barrel band spring replaced with a wooden one and appears to be a field repair. No import marks are noted. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
