Rare Early Winchester Model of 1942 M1 carbine .30 carbine (W13061) CONSIGNMENT

Serial No. 1027439, circa 1942, .30 carbine, 18" barrel stamped with "Flaming bomb/WRA/1-43". Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Front sight is unmarked with slight curve noted. "W/P" inside oval firing proof is visible between the front sight and barrel band. Parkerized barrel band is unmarked with wide swivel aperture, bull nose type A handguard is unmarked on the inside. Receiver is marked "Winchester/Trademark/1027439" recoil shield is "W" marked. Rear sight is marked. High wood walnut stock has light handling and usage ware noted, "WRA/GHD"-Ordnance Escutcheon" are crisp. Trigger assembly has the scarce Spring detent locking pin! These are found in the very early carbines. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Comes with box. Consignment.
