Spanish Pistola de Caballeria Flintlock Pistol (BAH3973)
Spanish Pistola de Caballeria Flintlock Pistol (Copy of the French Model 1733/1734). Circa 1760-1780. Barrel: 11.6” long. Caliber: 18.5mm caliber pistol, marked with an abraded maker’s name and C under a crown for acceptance in Cataluña. Lock bridled pan, stamped R. the bridled pan was approved by Ordnance in 1757, but appears to have been used only in these rare Catalan pistols.
