Mass. Arms Maynard Primed Belt Revolver (AH3724)

Mass. Arms Maynard Primed Belt Revolver. Barrel length is 4”. Bore has strong rifling and pits in the grooves. Cylinder is hand rotated and has a button release. Cylinder has floral etching and frame is engraved. Maynard door has an American eagle. There is a roll of Maynard caps in the frame behind the door. Trigger guard has most of its tarnished silver. Bottom of butt has numerous small dents. This was also called the “John Brown” model, as approximately 200 were purchased by him in 1857/ Very interesting revolver having been the subject of a lawsuit by colt, and having the Maynard primer and John Brown association. There are 13 notches on the backstrap and have been there a very long time.
