Winchester 1892 .44 WCF (W7026)

Winchester 1892 .44 WCF caliber rifle. Manufactured approximately 1915. Excellent bore. Action works perfectly. Barrel has 98% original blue, as does the magazine tube. Wood is excellent. This is a really fine ’92 in .44-40, except that something spilled or dripped onto the receiver and pitted the metal. This was some kind of corrosive material, and the pits are surface pitting. Without the pits this would be a $7,000 carbine, and if a frog had wings…
