Turkish (Ottoman) flintlock pistol. Barrel length 11”. Overall length 17 ½”. The barrel has some Farsi inscription that is not very legible. Stock is carved and has silver wire inlay. Lock, cock, and frizzen are engraved. Brass trigger guard and brass sideplate are deeply engraved. Buttcap is silver with a floral motif in relief. Overall very good condition. This is a well decorated pistol and belonged to a person of note.
