W. Read & Sons Drilling 12/12/38-55 (S7895)

W. Read & Sons Drilling 12/12/38-55. German Drilling made for W. Read & Sons of Boston and marked such. Since the gun was made for the U.S. market it’s chambered for 12 Gauge & 38-55, a neat and useful combo. The barrels are excellent with about 97% blue and excellent bores. The receiver is very good with about 85% of an applied blue finish. The stock has been sanded and shows some marks but no cracks or major damage. A thin recoil pad has been added, LOP is 13 ¾”. 28” barrels full/modified. 2 ½” chamber. Note: This Drilling has a 12 Ga. 2½” chamber NOT 2¾”. DO NOT USE 2¾” SHELLS. It will result in too much chamber pressure!
