U.S. Springfield Model 1888 Ram-Rod Bayonet Trapdoor .45-70 caliber rifle. Barrel has a brown patina. Lock plate has original bluing. Stock is in great condition, shows handling and storage wear. Cartouche is dated 1891. National Guard rack number is on the buttstock. Bore is good with some areas of frosting. Overall a good looking trapdoor.
