Colt 1902 Alaskan .45 LC (C12135)

Colt 1902 Alaskan .45 LC caliber revolver. This model is also referred to as a 1902 Philippine as they both have the same configuration. Comes with factory letter showing the gun was shipped in 1902 to the Commanding Officer, Springfield Armory. Bore is perfect. Markings are all sharp and clear. Grips are excellent. Action works perfectly. This gun looks as new condition. The polishing marks in the metal lead us to say that these marks are indicative of an arsenal rework. Note: “arsenal rework” is a term quite often used to describe a pretty good refinish job by some talented gunsmith and had nothing to do with an arsenal rework or factory rework. We do not use the term frivolously. We have seen this same method of polishing on 1902 model and have actually seen reblues of guns bearing these marks through the polished reblue. In our opinion this is a real arsenal rework possibly by the Manila Arsenal. RAC inspected. Very fine revolver.
