8th Cavalry Marked Spencer Model 1865 Saddle Ring Carbine (AL3963)

8th Cavalry Marked Spencer Model 1865 Saddle Ring Carbine. .52 caliber with a 20” barrel. Approximately 60% of the finish remains on the barrel. Frame has a dark blue refinish. Gun has a stable cutoff. Wood is very good and is marked with the 8th Cavalry markings. The 8th Cavalry was made up of soldiers mainly from the Pacific Northwest and while they were active in Oregon, they were mainly in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas during the Indian Wars. Very hard to find an 8th Cavalry marked gun!
