Winchester 1886 Deluxe Rifle (W7797)

Winchester 1886 Deluxe Rifle. Made in 1895. Deluxe rifle with a half round/half octagon barrel in 40-82. Gun is in very fine condition with 95% of the original blue on the barrel. Trace amount of case colors are on the frame, but the frame colors have mostly turned into a silvery appearance. Wood is very fine and appears to be 3X and has a pistol grip stock with a shotgun butt and butt plate. The bore has strong rifling with some pitting in the grooves. Barrel has beech front sight and a flip up tang sight. Gun also has factory sling swivels. Gun comes with a factory letter. The letter confirms most features. This gun differs from the letter in that the letter says this gun has a round barrel where the barrel is half round/ half octagon. This may have been a mistake, or this could have been changed when the gun was returned to the factory. In any case, this gun is all Winchester original work and has been this way since its time of use.
