Lemat 2nd Model Confederate .42 caliber revolver. Nice sharp gun with brown to gray patina. Action works perfectly. These are very interesting guns designed by Dr. Jean Lemat and backed by General Beauregard. These are 9-shot .42 caliber revolvers with a 16 gauge shotgun barrel underneath. The hammer itself has the selector to alternate between the two barrels. While 2900 were produced the survivability of these guns is maybe only 20%. Very neat gun well beyond its time used by the Confedercy!
