Colt Factory Engraved Long Flute Single Action Army .45 LC (C12733) ATX

SN: 331445. Colt Factory Engraved Long Flute Single Action Army .45 LC Caliber Pistol. Extremely Rare Factory Engraved Colt Single Action Army Long Flute made in 1915. Only 10-11 of these guns are known to be factory engraved with the long flute double action cylinder. Colt was using up the cylinders from the Colt 1878 DA's after that gun was discontinued. Approximately 900 or so of these guns were made with the long flute cylinder, but only a few were factory engraved. At one time it was published that only 4 of these long flute guns were factory engraved, but since then more of them have surfaced. This gun is in excellent condition with 95%+ of the original nickel finish. The main concentration of finish lost is on the cylinder which is just minor flaking. This gun letters as seen being factory engraved with a 4 3/4" barrel, in .45 LC, with nickel finish, factory engraved, furnished with a double action cylinder and shipped to Shapleigh Hardware in St. Louis. Very rare gun. Not many opportunities to buy one of these.
