Springfield U.S. Model 1879 Trapdoor .45-70 caliber rifle. U.S. Military rifle. Metal has approximately 60-7% blue with patina. Bore is good with strong rifling and a few minor pits. Cartouche is dated 1884. Very good overall condition.
