Colt Medium Frame Lightning .44-40 (C12928)

Colt Medium Frame Lightning .44-40 caliber rifle. Manufactured in 1885. Action works perfectly. Bore has good rifling and is dark in the grooves. Gun has an overall patina with no pits or abuse, except for some dings around the exterior breech end of the barrel near the caliber markings. All barrel markings are crisp and clear. Stock has no varnish. The left side of the buttstock has several grain cracks, not due to actual breakage, but to age and dry climate.
