U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock musket. Dated 1827, converted to percussion 1840-1860 period. This example has the H&P (Hewes & Phillips, Newark, NJ) conversion. This musket has been cleaned and is sharp with crisp markings. Breech-plug is dated 1862. Stock has sharp edges and raised grain wood. Barrel is smooth bored. This is a very eye-appealing musket in very good plus condition.
