Scarce 1st Model Maynard Carbine Confederate (AL4208)

Scarce 1st Model Maynard Carbine Confederate. 50 Caliber 1st Model Maynard Carbine. This gun has a dark brown patina. Wood is very good. This gun was purchased from the great-great grandson of the Confederate soldier, Ithamer Singletary. We were unable to locate any records on Ithamer Singletary, but his great-great grandson apparently had. He was in a Georgian unit. He apparently was in a battle, wounded and then sent to Union Prison Camp in Warrington, Virginia where he subsequently identified died of pneumonia. Very interesting gun that should be researched further.
