Colt 3rd Dragoon (C8195 )

Colt 3rd Dragoon. Untouched as found. Well we certainly cannot say this one is excellent. Best described as "Attic" or "Barn" condition. Back strap and trigger guard are bent and there is replacement grips. Action does not work, but trigger appears present in the trigger hole slot. The hammer is under tension. Loading lever is held together by wire. All numbers match and gun was made in 1854. Small star is engraved in brass just forward of trigger guard which was the Texas symbol. This gun comes directly from a family in Texas, sadly they did not have any information on their heirloom. Gun comes with original holster that matches the condition. Certainly one of those pieces where you wish this old gun could talk!
