British Pattern 1853 .577 Short caliber rifle. Tower 1868 marked with crown. 31" barrel with 2 bands. Has correct ram rod and nipple protection. Has brass buttplate, trigger guard, and ram rod guide. The ram rod is in very good condition. Barrel is patina. 400 yard rear sight. These were also used in the American Civil War.
