Hammond Bulldog Pistols Rare Pair. (AH3414)

Hammond Bulldog Pistols Rare Pair. These were factory experimental pistols. One pistol is Serial #1 on all parts and is in .32 Centerfire. The other pistol is Serial # 2 on all parts and is in .22 Rimfire. Both guns are nickel plated and have walnut target grips. Bores are excellent on both guns. Actions function perfectly on both guns. Overall condition of both guns is excellent. In his book The Derringer in America Vol. No. 2, Doug Eberhart shows example of similar gun with half round, half octagon barrel’s on pages 67 and 68. In a conversation with Mr. Eberhart he mentions that Connecticut Arms made a very limited number of target pistols such as these. These rare pistols show different grips and sights than the guns pictured in the book but have the same half round, half octagon barrels as the photos in the book . These pistols to our knowledge have not been recovered in any reference works. Rare guns and serial numbers 1 and 2 sold as a pair.
