Mauser 98 Custom .303 British caliber rifle. Nice quality pre-war custom Mauser sporter rifle with 1/2 round and 1/2 octagon ribbed barrel, lightly engraved receiver and double set triggers. The rifle is chambered for .303 British caliber which is unusual and it doesnt have any British proofs. This means it was probably made for sale in South Africa. The checkered walnut stock is very good, the metal shows wear with patina and thinning blue and the bore is near excellent. An interesting and good looking Mauser sporter.
