U.S. Springfield 1875 Trapdoor Officers Model Type II .45-70 caliber rifle. Rare Springfield 1875 Officers model Trapdoor Type II rifle. Has been expertly refinished. Lock plate and other metal parts are surrounded with beautiful engraving. Case coloring is still present on the hammer and breech. Rifle doesn’t have a detachable pistol grip and looks as it never had one. Wiping rod is a replacement. Overall a beautiful and affordable Officers model Trapdoor rifle!
