Colt 1861 Special Musket .58 caliber musket. “N.J.” marked on stock and barrel for New Jersey militia. Gun has original “In the White”. Factory polish. Stock is excellent with crisp edges. Gun is unfired and has some nicks and minor handling marks. Buttplate has some pits as is sometimes the case where the buttplate rested on a damp spot. This is an unfired Colt Civil War Special Musket.
