This is a Type 1 (smaller frame from the larger .50 caliber) and does not have the sling swivels that are found on the .50 caliber. This is the commercial Type1. Bore is very good. Action works perfectly. Barrel has very good blue and receiver has about 40% fading but visible case colors. Scarce Split Breech Carbine.

Buttstock is pistol grip and checkered and has the plate for the heel sight position. Action works perfectly. Gun has a blue brown mix being much more blue than brown. Gun is very good overall.

Produced by Steyr for Portugal as the model 1886 Kropatschek in 8x60R caliber carbine. This one is the more difficult to find carbine. Still has faint cartouches on both sides of the buttstock. The bolt is non matching and the bore is about good. These guns saw long service with most in the colonies until the 1960s. Overall in good condition.

Sharps 1874 .44 caliber Sporting rifle made in 1874. This is an early gun with the Hartford Collar and was shipped to J.P. Moore & Son. The condition on this gun is excellent with virtually all of the original blue remaining and the case colors are strong with silvering limited to the tangs. Wood is excellent as well. This well above average gun is accompanied by a letter from Dr. Labowskie.
